Godsell Arnold is proud to celebrate an important milestone—15 years of service from our Managing Director, Jayes. Over the last decade and a half, Jayes has been instrumental in shaping the direction and success of our company, leading with both vision and a deep commitment to the growth of our team.
Reflecting on his journey, Jayes highlights the two things that have brought him the most fulfilment: “Besides seeing buildings that I've helped design come to life from a civil and structural point of view, it's been even more rewarding to witness the company’s growth—from just 6-7 people when I first joined to over 20 now. The team’s development in knowledge and experience, as well as the diversity of work we’ve taken on, has been incredible to watch.”
Jayes has also seen the industry evolve significantly, from new building codes and software to changes in procedures. "Staying on top of these changes is a challenge," Jayes says, "But it’s been worth it. The friendships and relationships built along the way have made it all worthwhile. Continuously learning from the team and expanding our knowledge has been key in ensuring our growth."
When asked what advice he’d offer to someone just starting in the field, Jayes was quick to emphasise the rewarding nature of the work: “It’s hard, but so worth it! Seeing a project, you've helped design being built, from the ground up—or even digging down for basements—brings a smile to my face."
As Godsell Arnold moves into the future, Jayes' leadership and dedication will continue to inspire and guide us all. We’re excited to see where the next 15 years will take us.
